Drupal 4.7.0 released

May 1st, 2006

[Drupal]

After more than a year of development Drupal 4.7.0 has been released. This version includes a number of usability improvements, and new features for users and developers.

For instance it’s now easier to install and upgrade modules, and to add menu items to the navigation menu. A better update script is available, file uploading has been simplified, and all Drupal core modules have been updated to include the latest documentation.

The PHPTemplate theme engine has been added to the core, replacing the XTemplate engine, and multiple block placement locations can be dynamically specified.
