June 17, 2006 -- filed under Directory
PostNuke “is software that creates an impressive, dynamic web site and provides the webmaster with a site they can administer with a minimal amount of HTML knowledge through a web browser.
PostNuke can do anything from traditional blog sites, to a community website with hundreds of users. PostNuke can scale to thousands of users but is just as easy to create a small website for friends and family.”
PostNuke was started in July 2001 as a fork of PHP-Nuke, by John Cox, Greg Allan, Harry Zink, and Sean Finkle. One year later, the PostNuke software was 100% free of any legacy code.
PostNuke is a PHP - MySQL application, and is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). PostNuke was renamed Zikula in June 2008.
