Lifetype 1.2.5 is the latest maintenance release of the 1.2 branch.
“Continuing with the trend started in the 1.2 branch, Lifetype 1.2.5 delivers a couple of minor new features and some polish under the hood, specially concerning the API.
We have noticed that as of late, there has been a somewhat remarkable increase of support issues and bug reports related to the API, so it finally seems like users and developers have started to realize the potential of the fully-featured and documented API that you get with Lifetype.”

RunCMS 1.6 offers more speed, more features, and a new look and feel.
Speed improvements result from a revised caching system which saves SQL queries, from a new mechanism for user login and logout, and from optimization of XoopsTree which saves additional SQL queries on sites with many categories.
New features for developers include new classes, template support in core, inclusion of Snoopy and Prototype libraries, and extended mod_rewrite support.
The new presentation features include a new Halloween theme, and the capability to create your own design for the admin area.

Over twenty issues were fixed, including tagging support for Windows Live Writer, a login bug that affected those with a Blog Address different than their WordPress Address, and faster taxonomy database queries.
Also some security issues were found in version 2.3. “Janek Vind found an XSS problem that can be exploited if your PHP setup has register_globals enabled. For this reason, upgrading to 2.3.1 is advised.”
