Serendipity 1.0.3 released

November 8th, 2006 No comments

[Serendipity]

The Serendipity Team has decided to release a 1.0.3 version that fixes a compatibility problem with PHP 5.2.0.

They have also decided to backport some other bugfixes from the 1.1 release tree. For additional details, please refer to the release announcement.

If you are affected by any of those fixed bugs and/or running PHP 5.2.0, we suggest you to update. Else, you are not required to upgrade your Serendipity 1.0.2 installations and can wait happily ever after until we get the 1.1 release polished for release (hopefully in December).

The first upgrade of GreyMatter since 1.3.1 in 2003 has been released yesterday on the new GreyMatter Forums. The new version is 1.6.1 and it’s a first developers release aimed at those who want to add new features and functions to GreyMatter.

The focus of the release has been the beginning of refactoring the code to make it easier to add features by separating out the logic for file access and web access amongst others. This will make it easier to add database support in the future. Version 1.6.1 is the first of many new updates to GreyMatter.

GM 1.6.1 includes many other improvements; for details you can also visit the new GreyMatter Dev Forums.
